After getting lost during a scuba diving trip off Tasmania, a boy named Kai discovers a hidden underwater kingdom ruled by dolphins who live in secret cities beneath the waves. The dolphins gift him with a magical power — the ability to turn into any creature he wishes. But when an ancient conflict between the dolphins and the sharks threatens to erupt into war, Kai must use his new powers to bring peace before it destroys the ocean forever. In the end, his incredible adventure changes his life and reveals a hidden world few will ever see.

About the Author

At just 10 years old, Kohen is already bringing his imagination to life through storytelling. Living in San Dimas, California, Kohen loves spending time reading, playing baseball and football, and learning about the ocean. With a growing interest in marine biology, he dreams of one day scuba diving and exploring the underwater world firsthand. Shadows of the Abyss is his first novel — the result of 180 days of diligent work in a creative writing class.
